From 31 July 2026 Ground Café welcomes a new series of finely observed drawings by Lindsey Way. This intimate collection highlights her gift for capturing the quiet presence and personality of the natural world. Through delicate linework, thoughtful detail, and a sensitivity to form, Lindsey invites viewers to slow down, look closely, and appreciate the character and charm of each creature she portrays.
Lindsey Way
I have been painting and drawing about 6 years and have tried a variety of techniques. My style has developed into a blend of expressive ink drawings and more detailed linoprints. I mainly draw animals and birds and I am always on the lookout for interesting subjects to draw. I have recently included more exotic, quirky animals into my repertoire to achieve more colour and texture. I enjoy the challenge of drawing the effect of an elephants wrinkled skin or the scales of a pangolin with an ink finliner.
